High resolution lenses

Opto5 is a company that specializes in the design and production of high-resolution lenses. These lenses are designed to meet the specific needs of artificial vision applications that cannot be covered by standard catalogues.
Opto5's particular strength lies in its ability to design and manufacture fully customized and specific optical solutions for a wide range of industrial applications and technologies.

Customization and variety of solutions
Among the solutions proposed, Opto5 is capable of producing telecentric lenses, both in the object and in the image field, for precise projection without angular distortions. Furthermore, flat field lenses are designed to guarantee uniform focusing over the entire image surface, improving its quality.
Opto5 also offers minimal distortion with customized wavelength range chromatic correction lenses, such as achromatic, apochromatic, NIR and SWIR lenses.
Versatility in optical solutions
The lenses range includes zoom, tele objectives and retrofocus lenses, which meet different magnification and long-distance focusing needs. OPTO5's versatility in design allows the company to guarantee high levels of resolution, robustness, and repeatability in production.
High quality and precision in production processes
Utilizing state-of-the art instrumentation Opto5 ensures the control and verification of the characteristics of our products. This instrumentation allows us to measure parameters such as MTF (Modulation Transfer Function), EFL (Effective Focal Length), BFL (Back Focal Length), FFL (Front Focal Length), and spectral transmission. Consequently, we are able to guarantee excellent optical performance and consistent quality.

F-THETA

F-Theta Lenses, also referred as Scan Lenses, are a specific type of lens utilized in conjunction with XY galvanometer scanners or polygon scanners.

These lenses find applications in a wide range of fields, including industrial material processing, medical and biotechnological applications. It's crucial to emphasize that the performance of these lenses is contingent on the design and quality of their optical components. In contrast to standard lenses, which focus the laser beam on a spherical surface, f-theta lenses offer a plane focusing surface and constant spot size over the entire XY image plane.

OPTO5 F-Theta lenses meet the standard requirements of the laser marking world, combining the most popular focal lengths and mounts with precise spot positioning and uniform beam quality over the whole engraving/etching field. Our flagship F-Theta lens is designed for the nominal 1064 nm laser wavelength. A 532 nm multilayer coated version is also available.

Integrated optical systems

Complex opto-mechanical systems from initial concept through to testing and productionOPTO5 has a consolidated expertise in the realization of compact optical systems, thanks to the integration of optical components with mechanical and electronic elements. This capability allows the company to design and implement advanced opto-mechanical solutions, where compactness and efficiency are key to meeting the challenges of modern applications.

The production of these systems encompasses all phases, from the initial design stage through to material selection, the assembly and calibration of components, to final testing.

The main opto-mechanical systems in which we have expertise are as follows:

  • Laser systems: for scanning, marking, measuring and 3D printing
  • Devices for linear and matrix image sensors: for machine vision applications, sorting machines, barcode and QR-code identification and medical devices.
  • LED systems: for special lighting systems in machine vision applications, structured lighting for 3D modeling.
  • Photoelectric sensors: for industrial automation applications, safety devices, environmental monitoring and optical switches.
  • Spectral separators/combiners: optical devices such as prisms or windows that are used to separate or combine different wavelengths. These devices are used in measurement and analysis applications for color or light intensity management.
