Your requirements are developed from initial concepts through to a final design using state-of-the-art optical CAD software. This approach facilitates continuous collaboration and comprehensive project sharing with the customer, thereby ensuring that the final outcome aligns with your specific requirements. Intellectual property is safeguarded by our professional ethics and may be protected by a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Technical drawings are prepared in accordance with international standards, accompanied by 3D files that facilitate prototyping and mass production.
Rapid Prototyping
Opto5 optical workshop is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that allows for the rapid production of a wide range of optical components, complete with surface coating.
The products that can be prototyped include:
- Lenses and Optical Systems with flat and spherical surfaces
- Windows, Mirrors and Filters, even with unusual shape
- Prisms of any geometry
- Cylindrical elements
In addition, prototypes of complex plastic components can be fabricated by injection molding, using single-cavity molds made of aluminum or beryllium copper. This technique offers a cost-effective alternative to expensive diamond turning machining, allowing greater versatility in material selection and more reliable simulation of the final product, similar to that achieved with conventional molding.

Optical coatings
Opto5 can offer a comprehensive range of surface treatments for filters and mirrors, among which:
- Single layer and Multiple layer Anti-Reflective dielectric coating for specific wavelength: a treatment that reduces reflection and optimizes light transmission for selected wavelengths
- High Reflectivity Multilayer Coating for Spectral band, enhanced reflectivity for specific wavelength range
- Dichroic mirrors, dielectric filters, beamsplitter windows, ITO windows, thin-film polarizer windows
- Metallic mirrors in gold, silver and reflective or semi reflective aluminum
Tests and Measurements
Opto5’s state-of-the art optical laboratory is equipped with the latest testing and measurement equipment, enabling us to guarantee the quality and precision of our optical components.
Our testing capabilities include:
- Laser beam analysis: through the use of CCD systems and moving fence systems
- MTF/EFL and field distortion measurements: for lenses and objectives
- Spectrophotometric characterization of Light Sources and analysis of the transmission and optical properties of filter, mirrors and beam splitters
- Interferometric Analysis: for the measurement of flat and spherical surfaces
- Polarimetric Analysis
- Geometry of Prisms and Parallel Plane Windows: carried out with an auto collimating goniometer.
Thanks to these advanced technical solutions, OPTO5 is able to meet the most demanding customer requirements, offering optical components and tailor-made systems that meet high quality and performance standards.
